Kansas Casino Directory
There are five Indian casinos in Kansas. According to officials at the Kansas State Gaming Agency, the terms of the state's compacts with the tribes regarding the minimum payback amounts on their machines are not a matter of public record and no information can be released.
Unless otherwise noted, all Kansas Indian casinos are open 24 hours and offer the following games: blackjack, craps, roulette, slots and video poker. Other games include: poker (P), Caribbean stud poker (CSP), let it ride (LIR), three card poker (TCP) and bingo (BG). The minimum gambling age is 21.
In April 2007 the Kansas legislature authorized local referendums in several counties to allow slots at three pari-mutuel race tracks and four state-run casinos. The slots were approved at only two of the three tracks and they are expected to have the slots in operation by mid-2008.
State-run casinos were approved for Wyandotte County (home to Kansas City), Ford County and two other areas in south-central and southeastern Kansas. State-run casinos will open in 2009.
